Dr. Silber, Dr. DeRosa & the incredible team at Infertility Center of St. Louis have made our dreams come true TWICE, and we couldn’t be more grateful! After my husband was diagnosed with obstructive azoospermia, 2 egg retrievals and 3 failed transfers with our first clinic, our doctor was stumped and recommended Dr. Silber. He said Dr Silber is the best. We had never been to St. Louis before and knew the logistics of doing IVF out of state would be difficult, but after our initial consultation we instantly knew this was the right path for us and felt extremely confident that Dr. Silber and his wealth of knowledge was our missing puzzle piece. Our coordinator, Mindy was amazing. She was incredibly organized and always made sure we were given the correct set of instructions and steps to make the process as smooth as possible. In January 2022, our first transfer was successful and gave us our first son Brooks! We always dreamed of giving him a sibling but felt like we had already won the lottery and couldn’t imagine it working again for us. We went back to St. Louis in July 2024 and gave our last two untested fair-graded embryos a chance, and with the grace of God, we welcomed our second son Tate into the world in March 2025! Our life is filled with more light and joy than we could have ever dreamed of, and without Dr. Silber and his team none of this would have been possible!
Infertile patients cannot afford to wait for treatment while their eggs get older.
Dr. Sherman Silber, Infertility Center of St. Louis, is offering video consultations for patients who need to plan now for their treatment while stay-at-home orders are in place. He is talking to and evaluating patients in their home to comply with social distancing measures.
Dr. Silber is discovering that patients actually prefer this method of telemedicine consultation over the conventional office visit. Patients have conveyed that “it is so much more convenient and less stressful” to have a telemedicine personal consultation than to take a day off from work to travel to the doctor’s office and sit with other nervous patients in the waiting room.
The COVID-19 pandemic is thus changing much of the way we will do things in the future, and for the better. “Our patients are surprisingly much happier with this approach. Of course, at some point we need to perform hands on treatment. But with this new manner of seeing patients, we can come to the right diagnosis and treatment plan for most patients more efficiently, quickly, and painlessly, with no loss of personal one-on-one communication.” This is a very welcome new era of telemedicine that has been forced on us by the current difficult times.
