About the Center
We are a leading-edge infertility center, one of the most respected in the world.
We specialize in treating very difficult cases of infertility, e.g. where there has been previous failure to fertilize, failure to achieve pregnancy in previous efforts, or failed attempts at vasectomy reversal or IVF. But we are also happy to treat simpler infertility cases, and the patient’s cost, in any event, is similarly low compared to most programs. Patients fly to our center in St. Louis daily from all over the world and we are quite accustomed to making them feel comfortable here.
Our approach is to avoid needless and often expensive conventional testing, as well as outmoded treatments that unfortunately are often used for years until the couple is finally emotionally and financially drained. On the contrary, our policy is to recommend the most effective technology that is most likely to get the patient pregnant the soonest.
Many couples waste years going through many thousands of dollars worth of unnecessary tests that have little scientific validity and do not add any benefit to their treatment plan. They may undergo useless surgery (such as varicocelectomy on the man, or laser vaporization of endometriosis in the woman) that costs time and money, yet has no scientifically validated benefit. This plethora of inappropriate care, and often frank incompetence, is fostered by a commercialism that has unfortunately aggravated the modern infertility epidemic. You therefore must be a fully informed and questioning consumer to benefit from the truly exciting modern technology that now allows most infertile couples to fulfill their dreams and have a baby.

AREAS OF EXPERTISE: We treat all types of infertility, in both males and females, simple cases, and also the most complex cases.
PHILOSOPHY OF CARE: We give the highest quality personalized attention, and we employ a very friendly staff. We avoid expensive and unnecessary testing, which just maximizes cost without any benefit for the patient. We proceed promptly with the most cost-effective treatment.
LATEST INNOVATIONS: There are hardly any successful infertility treatments used anywhere in the world that did not originate with us. This includes microsurgical vasectomy reversal, tubal ligation reversal, ICSI-IVF (sperm injection) for even the severest male infertility, egg and embryo freezing with vitrification, preservation of fertility in cancer patients, ovary and testis transplantation, and Mini-IVF (a new technology that dramatically reduces the cost of more conventional IVF), and IVF for older women.
THE FUTURE: We do not view medical care like a factory or a business. Infertility treatment can be expensive and emotionally trying. Therefore we have developed remarkable technical innovations that dramatically reduce cost while maintaining high pregnancy rates, so that couples will be able to afford the highest quality and the most technically demanding treatment. Our extensive research and development allows us to always be on the leading edge of every new advance in infertility treatment.
FREE ADVICE: All initial infertility consultations at the Infertility Center of St. Louis are free of charge. Patients come to our center daily from all over the world.
The IVF Lab
Our IVF laboratory was first started in 1985, making us the most experienced in the country. Our IVF embryologists are technically the best in the world and I monitor them very carefully.
We were among the first to do vitrification of eggs and embryos in the United States, one of the first to do Mini-IVF in the U.S., and the first to do ICSI (injecting a sperm into the egg eliminating almost all male infertility challenges) in the U.S., and indeed among the first in the world to perform ovary and egg freezing to preserve fertility for cancer patients.
The Treatment and Operating Room Nurses
Our room for aspirating your eggs and transferring them, is a connected suite with the lab for ensuring the best communication between the IVF lab, the doctors and the nurses.
Our treatment room team of nurses is completely dedicated to IVF. We can deal with the most complicated IVF transfers due to the vast experience of our team, and handle the most difficult infertility surgeries when needed.
The Ultrasonography Team
We have the best team of ultrasonographers in the country. With our HD 3d ultrasound we can discover everything we need to know about your fertility with one test. This will include a very accurate evaluation ovarian reserve (egg count), your intrauterine lining (endometrium), any uterine fibroids, adenomyosis, and any ovarian cysts or tumors.
That plus your menstrual history and your husband’s sperm count will tell us virtually everything we need to know when we first consult with you. That is how good our ultrasound is.
