Lower Cost, Better Results, World Renowned Doctor. Free Consultation.

Infertile patients cannot afford to wait for treatment while their eggs get older.

Dr. Sherman Silber, Infertility Center of St. Louis, is offering video consultations for patients who need to plan now for their treatment while stay-at-home orders are in place. He is talking to and evaluating patients in their home to comply with social distancing measures.

Dr. Silber is discovering that patients actually prefer this method of telemedicine consultation over the conventional office visit. Patients have conveyed that “it is so much more convenient and less stressful” to have a telemedicine personal consultation than to take a day off from work to travel to the doctor’s office and sit with other nervous patients in the waiting room.

The COVID-19 pandemic is thus changing much of the way we will do things in the future, and for the better. “Our patients are surprisingly much happier with this approach. Of course, at some point we need to perform hands on treatment. But with this new manner of seeing patients, we can come to the right diagnosis and treatment plan for most patients more efficiently, quickly, and painlessly, with no loss of personal one-on-one communication.” This is a very welcome new era of telemedicine that has been forced on us by the current difficult times.

Mom and Dad were always the titles my husband and I were very passionate about having but, after 5 years of trying many other fertility salutations our doctor pointed us toward IVF. We were so lucky to be from the St. Louis area, but I think we would have traveled from anywhere for the great care and expertise we got from Dr. Silber. He was so kind but also very realistic and honest about the challenges we were facing. It was clear from the beginning that he would decide on a specific treatment based on our individual challenges and not just push us through a standard one size fits all IVF program, which is the experience many of my friends that went to other doctors had described to me.

During the monitoring portion of my first egg retrieval cycle Dr. Silber decided the medication mix I was on wasn't producing the number and size eggs he was hoping for, so he stopped the process. This meant I could save the remainder of my medication as well the funds for the procedure for a cycle that would be successful instead letting me complete this one knowing I would likely have to have a second. This, of course, was disappointing at the time but more importantly just proved to me again that the success of my treatment was Dr. Silber's number one priority. After a reset period we started again with an adjusted approach. This produced 7 beautiful eggs, two of which would become my beautiful daughters.

I will be forever grateful to Dr. Silber and his whole team for giving us the chance to be parents. Their care, understanding, and great communication made the whole experience easier and so much less stressful. Anytime I encounter someone struggling with fertility I feel confident and happy to be able to suggest Dr. Silber and to tell them about my wonderful experience.
