How do we possibly say THANK YOU enough to The Infertility Center of St. Louis and Dr. Silber for giving us the gift of being able to have our very own family? It’s impossible to do our gratitude justice, but through their miraculous work, my husband and I were able to conceive our very own son earlier this year as a very happy and completely healthy little boy! We are extremely grateful as this most likely would not have been possible without our care team’s tremendous expertise, experience, and support.
Dr. Silber is outstanding, and we felt so comfortable knowing he’d been at the forefront of leading this work for decades and decades. His bedside manner is sharp, his knowledge of what would be best for our unique infertility challenges was assuring, and even though it took us three retrievals and two transfers until we were able to have our baby, we felt like we were in wonderful hands with our care providers. Each step was another chance in this dream coming true. Now, we are getting the dream of becoming parents to a sweet boy who we will never ever take for granted.
Thank you also to Dena who kept us on track and informed of exactly what we needed to do, one step at a time. We will be going back to Dr. Silber and his team when we’re ready to continue growing our family. They have our absolute highest recommendation if you’re hoping for the best support in your fertility journey.
Infertile patients cannot afford to wait for treatment while their eggs get older.
Dr. Sherman Silber, Infertility Center of St. Louis, is offering video consultations for patients who need to plan now for their treatment while stay-at-home orders are in place. He is talking to and evaluating patients in their home to comply with social distancing measures.
Dr. Silber is discovering that patients actually prefer this method of telemedicine consultation over the conventional office visit. Patients have conveyed that “it is so much more convenient and less stressful” to have a telemedicine personal consultation than to take a day off from work to travel to the doctor’s office and sit with other nervous patients in the waiting room.
The COVID-19 pandemic is thus changing much of the way we will do things in the future, and for the better. “Our patients are surprisingly much happier with this approach. Of course, at some point we need to perform hands on treatment. But with this new manner of seeing patients, we can come to the right diagnosis and treatment plan for most patients more efficiently, quickly, and painlessly, with no loss of personal one-on-one communication.” This is a very welcome new era of telemedicine that has been forced on us by the current difficult times.
