Lower Cost, Better Results, World Renowned Doctor. Free Consultation.

Infertile patients cannot afford to wait for treatment while their eggs get older.

Dr. Sherman Silber, Infertility Center of St. Louis, is offering video consultations for patients who need to plan now for their treatment while stay-at-home orders are in place. He is talking to and evaluating patients in their home to comply with social distancing measures.

Dr. Silber is discovering that patients actually prefer this method of telemedicine consultation over the conventional office visit. Patients have conveyed that “it is so much more convenient and less stressful” to have a telemedicine personal consultation than to take a day off from work to travel to the doctor’s office and sit with other nervous patients in the waiting room.

The COVID-19 pandemic is thus changing much of the way we will do things in the future, and for the better. “Our patients are surprisingly much happier with this approach. Of course, at some point we need to perform hands on treatment. But with this new manner of seeing patients, we can come to the right diagnosis and treatment plan for most patients more efficiently, quickly, and painlessly, with no loss of personal one-on-one communication.” This is a very welcome new era of telemedicine that has been forced on us by the current difficult times.

Lubbers Family

When Warren and I married in 1977, we had already discussed having a family and knew we would adopt, as he had a vasectomy several years before. At the time, having a successful vasectomy reversal was unheard of. As we started to research adoption options, we found that many of the agencies didn’t service our county, which was devastating. About that time, I saw an article in a women’s magazine about this doctor from the Midwest that was perfecting his technique for a vasectomy reversal. We talked about it and my husband made the call and requested information regarding it. After reading the information, my husband called and scheduled the surgery since it was in St. Louis, about a 5 hour drive away.

That was 1981.

When we met Dr. Silber the first time, we knew he was the answer. He made us feel so comfortable from the very beginning. He explained everything in a way we could understand. If we had any questions, we knew he was a phone call away (remember, this was before the Internet). The first of many happy days was when we received the message from Dr. Silber that said “go for it”. Fingers crossed, we hoped this was the answer. Then on December 23, 1982 we found out that we were expecting. What a wonderful Christmas gift! We were really all smiles and joy on August 25, 1983 when our first daughter was born. Without Dr. Silber, his knowledge and expertise, we would not be the proud parents that we are today. And without our faith and confidence in Dr. Silber, we wouldn’t have recommended him to our daughter and son-in-law. Now, it’s their turn to put their faith and confidence in the man that, through his expertise and years of experience, has brought happiness to so many couples.

Dr. Silber, thank you again for everything. You turned a couple into a family of four. And hopefully, you can change Karen and Kent from a couple to a family.
